Mangosat is an international telecommunications solutions company based in The Netherlands and Dubai (UAE) with operations in India, Sweden, UK, and Tanzania. As the needs of the company change, so do the demands for more innovative solutions. Therefore, Mangosat is always looking for skilled (telecom) engineers and other talent to join its international team.

  • Must have a ‘can-do’ attitude and be very mission oriented. A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment. Dependable and flexible when necessary.
  • Good understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure (satellite and microwave included) OR good understanding of electrical power technologies.
  • Good understanding of Cloud and IoT is a massive advantage.

  • We will need 2 – 4 weeks to make a first CV screening and get back to applicants we would like to interview. We will typically have a first interview which will take place over the phone or via video.
  • The second round of interviews will take place face to face and may include additional tests or the preparation of a presentation. We will keep you informed upfront and be transparent on the process along the way.

Project Managers and Field Engineers

For one of our customers (a global LEO satellite operator) we are searching for resources (Project Managers and Field Engineers) in APAC and Europe. Each position is on a retainer bases (25 hours per month guaranteed and by the hour after needed). Primary responsibilities for the field engineers include installations and follow-up support. PMs are expected to drive quality and vendor management in addition. 

We have vacancy for 5 – 10 PMs located at – or near- hubs across the globe. Regarding Field Engineers we want multiple teams in each country where our customer is active. 

Europe and APAC has our first priority soon followed by Africa.

We will provide on the job training.

Some of the basic skill requirements include:

  • Test, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuing support of Satellite Network Portals (SNP) build out and operation.
  • Support of installation, commissioning, and integration with customers partners
  • Ability to configure and test IP based network equipment and peripherals.
  • Create product documentation to support training, maintenance, and operation bulletins using Microsoft Office products.

Typical duties and responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate network installations and maintenance for company’s operations in Middle East, Asia and Africa.
  • Provide remote support to on-site engineers and customers during installations in Middle East, Africa and Asia.
  • Monitoring field support performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages.
  • Liaise with international customers, project management teams, engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis for provisioning and troubleshooting network implementation services through our local field support world-wide.

On-call Mango Expert

Our sister company Bigwa Farm Ltd (Tanzania) is building a 160-ha high-tech mango (and lemon) farm. The first trees were planted back in 2013.

In addition to satellite/drone imagery and sensors on the ground, human expertise is more than indispensable.

Bigwa Farm Ltd is searching for a real and serious expert who can advise us on how to grow mango successfully and efficiently. Moreover, a remote team member who can teach us how to recognize, avoid, mitigate, or treat pests and diseases..and all what’s needed more to do things right.

We envision our expert to live in a mango producing country such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India etc.

The perfect candidate can be of any age and does not need to be in Tanzania but he or she must be available (and able) to support us remotely on a retainer/on-call basis.
