Space, Power & Ground Services to Support The Underserved

DESIGN & ENGINEERING

Safe and reliable energy & connectivity solutions for commercial use

Start With The Load

The first step should not be selecting the solar panels. It should be understanding the site.

Our design team needs detailed load data, ideally recorded in short intervals. We want to know the peaks, sudden changes and quiet periods that determine the number of solar panels, battery and  maybe generator size.

Large motors and sensitive equipment also need closer study.

The analysis should test normal grid supply, outages, low and peak production, generator failure, weak solar output and restricted fuel availability. Seasonal demand and planned equipment additions also matter.

African operating conditions add another layer. Generators can produce less power at high altitude. Heat affects generators and batteries. Dust, humidity and corrosion influence cooling and equipment protection. Long fuel routes make every litre saved more valuable, while remote sites need careful maintenance and spare-parts planning.

The right system is not the one with the largest battery or the best number on a datasheet. It is the one in which the generator, BESS, switchgear, controls and protection all work together.

A Smarter Approach To Reliable Power

For decades, uncertain demand was managed by installing a larger generator. That remains the right choice in some applications, but it should not be the automatic answer.

Battery storage provides another way to keep spare power available. It can respond almost instantly, cover short periods of high demand and help the generator operate under healthier conditions. Solar PV can reduce diesel use further, but it is not essential to the basic right-sizing principle.

For African C&I facilities, the idea is practical: let the battery handle fast and variable demand, let the generator supply sustained energy, and control them as one system.

The result can be a smaller, smarter generator plant that burns less diesel, needs less maintenance and responds better when demand changes.

Our solutions are scalable and suitable for various needs

Poorly designed systems often fail. This can be due to undersized batteries, underestimated loads, poor installation or low-quality equipment.
